The Ivorian Football Association has decided not to grant the Burkinabe club Rail Club Kadiogo permission to use the Stade de Yamoussoukro as the venue for their CAF Champions League match against Asante Kotoko SC.
The failure of Rail Club Kadiogo to finish making renovations to its stadium resulted in the facility not being certified for CAF games
As a result of this, their preliminary match in the 2022–23 CAF Champions League will be played against the giants of Asante Kotoko SC of Ghana on a field that is not associated with either team.
The CAF has been informed by representatives of RC Kadiogo that the match would now take place at Stade de Yamoussoukro.

Kadiogo has communicated with CAF through letter that they would want to play the game in Cotonou, which is located in Benin.
