Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has earned a call up into the Senior National team Black Stars of Ghana. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh becomes the only local player to be called up for international friendly game between Black Stars of Ghana and Brazil on September 23, 2022 in Le Havre, France and other games that will be played in same month. He was included in a 29-man squad for the preparatory game.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been in a blistering form both club and country. The winger has been scoring for both Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Galaxies of Ghana.

At the national level, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh was a key player as Black Galaxies sealed qualification for next year’s Chan tournament over Nigeria over the weekend, achieving the feat for the first time since 2014.
He scored three goals for the team, with goals coming against Benin in Cape Coast, Cotonou and against Nigeria in Cape Coast.
