Lydia Forson, an actress, has expressed amazement at the precedent created by President Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) during their time in opposition.
The yardstick they used to critique John Dramani Mahama’s lack of integrity was the NPP administration, she reminded them.
In spite of high hopes, the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration has fallen short thus far.
She said the administration had failed to demonstrate the honesty they praised. The starlet announced it in a tweet.
“The NPP led by @NAkufoAddo put themselves up to be the benchmark; they didn’t hold back in their criticism of Mahama,” she remarked. They would have watched him carefully while he chewed his meal if they could. Today, however, they have failed in EVERY WAY to demonstrate the integrity about which they sung.
The situation the nation is in right now, according to the actress, goes much beyond a monetary crisis.
“How you make a people FEEL is an extremely important part of leadership, something the NPP seem to have forgotten in power. What Ghana is going through is much bigger than the ailing economy, it’s the tone-deafness of this government that’s making it worse.”
