The National Teaching Council (NTC) is the body responsible for seeing to it that there is teacher professionalism by issuing licenses to teachers. Following it’s initiative to issue license to teachers, many teachers have received it. However some category of teachers still haven’t met the criteria for getting it.

Currently, the council has reversed its decision and is currently issuing licenses to individuals who fall in the named category.
This means that teachers who were employed as non-professionals before 1st September 2018 and acquired professional qualifications on or after 1st September 2018 are now exempted from taking the licensure exams.
