The former Western North regional organiser of the New Patriotic Party in the person of Samuel Adu Agyei has orated that, Ghana’s constitution doesn’t forbid citizens from embarking on demonstration or protest. However, when people are given the greenlight to regurgitate their discomfort to government through demonstration they should be law abiding and do it in peace.
He said this following the “Arise Ghana’s” demonstration held yesterday which birthed a bone of contention between the police and demonstrators.
Speaking with Deetu Kwadwo Amofa on Okyeame Adekyee Mu Nsem, Adu Agyei boldly asserted that per what was transpired yesterday “the Arise Ghana is one of the groups in the National Democratic Congress, I am saying it without any fear or favour”.
He added that, if the demonstration was allowed to be embarked on in the night we wouldn’t have know what could have happened. And saying this reminds him of some coup d’etat comments made by some NDC faithfuls and this has clearly confirmed their coup plot. He added.
