Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), claims that Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen ought to have cut ties with the Akufo-Addo-led administration by this point.
He contends that the Trade Minister ought to have resigned after becoming aware of the numerous alleged fraudulent activities the government is accused of.
“Alan is a good man, but in politics, good men are not usually used to conduct politics. You’ll need individuals who can assert their strength and say, “This is it; I stand by it.” The government, of which Alan is a member, has seen a number of corruption cases. “I wouldn’t have followed Alan anywhere if he had quit, but since he lacked the confidence to do so, I don’t regard him as a leader,” Mr. Tamakloe said to TV3.
However, he revealed that the governing party will make it difficult for Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to fulfill his ambition of becoming the country’s President.
I stated clearly in an interview I gave to a foreign publication that Bawumia could not become president due to the structure of our party; if I still have it, I would share it with you.
Bawumia is a good gentleman. “If Bawumia had that independent thinking and strength and had not merely always praised what the president had done or had not done, I would have looked at him differently, as I know Bawumia very well,” the speaker said.
