The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says the current interruption in power supply, being experienced in some parts of the country is due to rainstorm.
According to the electricity distribution company, the rainstorm that hit the country, especially the capital city on Wednesday April 6, 2022 has caused major outages in its distribution system.
A statement issued by the Company, ECG cautioned all and sundry to be extremely careful not to touch or step on loose or fallen electrical conductors since they could be live.
The company further urged anyone who has encountered loose or fallen conductors, and customers experiencing outages to call the ECG contact centre or reach them on any of their social media handles.
“Customers should note that our Engineers are working assiduously to rectify the faults and restore power supply,” the statement continued.
