Head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana, Otto Addo, says his side will be targeting a victory when they travel to Abuja to play Nigeria in the second leg of the FIFA World Cup qualifier playoff.
The Black Stars were held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday in the first clash of the two-legged tie, as the pair chase a spot at the mundial.
The 0-0 stalemate means there is all to play for in the return encounter at the Moshood Abiola Stadium on Tuesday, March 29.
Ahead of the game, Addo says the Black Stars will look to win while also waving away calls describing the Super Eagles as the favourites for the clash.
“The result doesn’t change anything. When we go there we want to win.”
“Even though our Africa Cup of Nations was not good this year, you saw we matched Nigeria in the first leg,” the gaffer said.
“So I don’t see them as favourites, the pressure will be on them at home and away goals can hurt a lot.”
The Black Stars are hoping to make a return to the World Cup after missing out on the last edition in Russia.
