Ghanaian journalist, Bridget Otoo has called on Ghana Police Service to release a list of police officers convicted and currently in jail for their involvement in crime.
This comes after two police officers have been captured among suspects of bullion van robberies in a press release by the Police.
Bridget Otoo reacting to the story said she has always maintained that bank robberies always involve either someone compromised at the bank or a security detail.
She wrote on Twitter;
“I have always maintained that these bank robberies always involve either someone compromised at the bank or a security detail.
I can’t imagine telling your RM I dey come take 100000 then they tip off security then they also tip off their squad of criminals.!!!”
Bridget Otoo added that Ghana Police Service needs to release a list of all police officers who have been convicted and are currently in jail for their involvement in crime.
She said that would be “real transparency”.
