A sister to the late Oshipi of Ashalaja, Augustina Lartey, wants the police to speed up efforts in arresting the five other suspects involved in the killing of his brother.
The Oshipi of Ashalaja, Joshua Lartey, was gunned down in the late hours of Sunday, March 6, 2022, by some unknown persons on the Amansaman stretch when he was returning to his home at Achiaman.
Police have arrested one person following the killing.
The police in a statement said they are also pursuing five other suspects
According to the sister of the late Oshipi, her brother had enemies and had on several occasions received death threats.
Speaking to the media, Augustina Lartey, said: “My brother had death threats a week before he was shot…but he told me he was capable of handling it. I am even afraid now since my younger brother had been poisoned some months back and now this one.”
“I want the police to speed up efforts in arresting the five persons who are currently on the run,” she said.
