A man cannot hold on to his tears when after a heartbreaking message was delivered to him through a mobile phone call. He has accompanied his wife and four little children to the main station with a goodbye as they travel to another town for other business. He was relaxed in the house thinking they will soon return for a happy reunion but bad news arrived. He arrived at the accident scene but all the dead bodies and the injured had been removed. He followed up to the hospital and this is where he received the shock of his life.
ASP Juliana Forson, the Western North Commander of the MTTD confirmed the sad news of the stranded man in an interview with Nhyraba Paa Kwesi Simpson on Connect FM monitored by BeaNana. According to her, the man in question arrived at the Bibiani government hospital and realized his wife and one of his four children have all died instantly. The other three sustained various degrees of injuries. However, the condition of one of them is not promising. He needs urgent transfer to an advanced facility but ASP Juliana Forson reveals that the father is financially weak and cannot afford the transfer. She adds that they are they have started soliciting funds to assist the man in saving his child.
The deadly accident involving a sprinter and a metro mass transit bus happened at Sefwi Anwiaso in the Western North Region of Ghana. About thirteen persons have so far been confirmed dead with others sustaining serious degrees of injuries. ASP Juliana Forson confirms that one Senior High School student also died with five others receiving treatment at the various hospitals.
