The number of players in the Super Eagles camp in Abuja has risen to twenty-three, thanks to the arrival of two former Chelsea players and six invitees from the United Kingdom.
Ola Aina, a Chelsea Academy product, and Kenneth Omeruo, a former Stamford Bridge teammate, have both reported for international duty.
Omeruo has only appeared twice in La Liga 2 for CD Leganes this season, with only two appearances since the beginning of November.
After joining their teammates in Abuja, Alex Iwobi (Everton), Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi (both Leicester City), William Troost-Ekong (Watford), Frank Onyeka (Brentford), and Semi Ajayi (West Brom) are set to take part in their first training session later today.
At the time of publication, Jamilu Collins (SC Padeborn), Tyronne Ebuehi (Venezia), Joseph Aribo (Rangers), Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal), and Odion Ighalo (Al-Shabab Riyadh) were still expected.
Chukwueze played in a La Liga match for his Spanish club on Monday and is expected to join the Super Eagles squad today.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to fly out to Garoua, which has the same climate as Abuja, on Wednesday evening ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations opener against Egypt.
The Super Eagles camp has 23 invitees.
