Madam Saratu Sulemana, Wife of Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana, the Savannah Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, has died. She passed on early today, Friday[Novemeber 12], at the Tamale West Hospital, following a short illness.
In a statement announcing the death and published on the Facebook page of the Party’s Communications Directorate, the Secretary, Haruna Iddrisu, indicated that preparations were already underway to give a befitting burial to the deceased in accordance with Islamic tradition.
He urged sympathisers and well wishers to throng to the Tamale West Hospital morgue, right after the Jumu’ah prayers where pre burial rites including the Janazah will be done before the body is laid to rest at the Tamale Central Cemetery in Zujung.

I am saddened to announce the sudden death of Madam Saratu, wife of the Savannah Regional Chairman of the NPP, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana (Professor Kalamonia). The sad event occured in the early hours of today, Friday 12th November 2021 at the West Hospital. Burial will take place shortly after Jummah prayers.
Friends, family, sympathizers who wish to be part of the burial process should converge at the West Hospital in Tamale after Jummah prayers. May the soul of our wife, sister and mother rest in perfect peace.
