Without much doubts, Chelsea football club will be keen on winning more trophies under the management of Thomas Tuchel after splashing the cash during the summer.
The North London club are hellbent on going head to head against the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool for the Premier League trophy this season and have added some players during the summer.
And that has quite worked out well for Chelsea so far as they are currently occupying the first position on the Premier League table heading into the international break.
However, the Blues are currently having issues sorting out the contracts of central defenders; Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen and have now been linked with a move for Fenerbahce defender Attila Szalai.
The 23-year-old Hungary International, who joined Fenerbahce from Cyprus club Apollon Limassol earlier this year has been an important member of the first-team squad.
The young central defender enjoyed an interesting 2020/2021 season where he scored six goals and provided three assists in 41 appearances in all competitions.
Attila Szalai has also enjoyed a flying start to the 2021/2022 season so far and has made 18 appearances in all competitions, helping his side to 7th position on the Turkish Super Lig table.
His impressive performances in the heart of defence is said to have caught the attention of Chelsea and according to reports from The Sun, Chelsea have agreed a deal worth up to £20million to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are looking to further strengthen their defensive options under manager Thomas Tuchel and have now made their move for Attila Szalai.
That said, the young central defender will now aim to continue his developments at Fenerbahce until the deal gets completed when the transfer window opens.
