American rapper, actor, and filmmaker, O’Shea Jackson Sr., known professionally as Ice Cube has turned down a whopping $9 million movie role as he refused to take the COVID-19 Vaccine before going on set.
The Hollywood movie star and rapper willingly walked out from the film’s production “Oh Hell Nah’ when being asked to be vaccinated prior to arriving on the film’s set earlier this week.advertisement
Wionews reported that Ice Cube was reportedly asked to get vaccinated at the start of the production by the producers but he chose to stay unvaccinated and let go of the $9 million he was to get in compensation for the role.
THR also reported that the production studio is now looking to find a replacement for Ice Cube, who walked from a $9 million payday. Neither Sony nor the actor’s management have released a statement addressing the actor’s exit.
This is the second time Cube, 52, has pulled out of production in the last few months. Cube was originally scheduled to be a part of the boxing movie “Flint Strong,” but sources say he’s not in the film. The reason for his departure has not been disclosed yet.
