The Founder and Leader of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) worldwide and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sweet TV, Reverend Obofour, also known as Prophet Asanteman Bofour has been captured in a video being installed as a chief.
Rev. Obofour is now the Asantehene Mantse at Sempe, James Town. Looking at the picture below, the man of God is dressed up like a Ga Chief and his facial expression shows that he is really happy and proud of the position given to him in Accra.
Some Ghanaians after coming across this picture asked Christians that: Can a man of God be made a Chief? This is because the traditions of a town can compel a chief to sacrifice a lamb or sheep to the gods and this is against the doctrine of Christianity. The pouring of libation to gods is also against the doctrine of Christianity.
The Holy Scriptures said that “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other”. In view of that, they believe that Rev Obofour has missed his way in Christianity by accepting this position. Some Ghanaians also congratulated him by saying that we need more men of God to occupy such positions.
Others were also amazed that an Asanteman could be made a chief in Accra whiles we have many prominent people from Accra who can equally occupy the position. Check out reactions from some Ghanaians below:
