Outspoken Ghanaian politician, business mogul and Member of Parliament for the Assin Central constituency, Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has waded into reactions concerning the alleged comments made by founder and leader of prominent church, Lighthouse Chapel, Dag Heward Mills.
Few days ago, the renowned head pastor has been in the news for particularly a reason known to many people as at now. Allegations has it that, a leaked audio of his sermon at a conference where he descended heavily on Otumfuor Asantehene II. The audio captures series of harsh critics against the King over his performance.
However, Bishop Dag Heward Mills has issued an apology letter pleading and indicating that the purported audio was recorded 20 years ago. The letter has caused massive stir online as some Ghanaians have condemned the statements, calling on Otumfuo to deal with him.
Speaking in an interview on Oman FM yesterday, Honourable Kennedy Agyapong registered his disappointment over the said audio going viral. He has indicated that, the words are disheartening ones and calls for apologies to the great king.
Speaking further, he threatened to expose the pastor over alleged failure to settle taxes on his ownerships. He said, “I am very disappointed in your statement. That was very harsh and disrespectful. No one pays taxes to Otumfuor and therefore should not blame him.”
