But it has now been confirmed that Tomori’s option to buy clause has been triggered, sealing his exit from Chelsea. Tomori played 22 games for AC Milan last season after his January loan move, helping them to secure Champions League qualification with a third-place finish in Serie A. His only goal came in a crucial 3-0 league win over Juventus in May, 2021.
After finalizing his move to AC Milan, Tomori paid tribute to his former Chelsea teammates, staff and fans in a post via his Instagram account.
