Multiple Award-winning Ghanaian Gospel musician Ernest Opoku Jnr has advised his colleague Gospel Artiste Brother Sammy to be matured considering the eagerness of the musician to win souls for Christ through Music.
According to Ernest Opoku Jnr, his colleague Gospel Musician Brother Sammy has been embroiled in series of controversies and also beefing some Gospel musicians just to trend on social media.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel Fm Drive time hosted by Ike De Unpredictable monitored by MyNews, Ernest Opoku Jnr said “As Gospel Musicians, our focus is to win souls for Christ through music but not to beef others just to trend on Social media”.
“Brother Sammy always wants to attack me in all his interview with the media while I hold no grudges against him. Attacking me (Ernest Opoku) will never win a soul for Christ but the word of God through music as Gospel musician” Ernest Opoku Jnr said.
“If Secular Musicians are beefing themselves to trend, we the gospel musicians should not involve ourselves in beef to let Ghanaians know the difference between Gospel Musicians and Secular Musicians”.
Ernest Opoku Jnr when asked what will be his advice for Brother Sammy said “If I get the opportunity to meet Brother Sammy, I will advise him to be matured enough and desist from the childish behavior because it won’t help him”.
Ernest Opoku Jnr added “Brother Sammy should stop his unnecessary beef and attack on Gospel musicians and focus on how to preach the gospel to win souls”.
“We (Gospel Musicians) have a huge task to complete which is winning souls for Christ but if we start fighting and beefing each other, it will divert our attention and we cannot win”
