One would ask whether it was the same Mahama who was granting interview upon interviews together with the NDC party heads right after the declaration of the election results by the EC chair, Madam Jean Mensah.
Looking at the kind of zeal with which he used when he was having his first post defeat press, one could hardly believe if there will be a time like this where he would get back to normalcy.
In his first press briefing after the EC chair, Madam Jean mensah had come out with her declaration, John Mahama vehemently uttered that he and the NDC leadership will resist any attempt made the the Electoral Commission and the New Patriotic Party to subvert the will of the people.
This particular statement ignited fear into a lot of Ghanaians especially after which there were numerous street protest by the NDC sympathizers here and there, until the NDC leadership finally acquiesced to send the issue to the supreme court of the land for redress.
One could think as the then Petitioner in the 2012 election petition, Akufo Addo was always present at the court room till the last day of the petition, Mahama who is now the petitioner in this court case would also be present in almost all the court sitting, but after being consistent for almost two weeks, he rarely appears at the court room.
Probably, he might have get over the post election defeat trauma and is just using the petition asva way to stay relevant in the political atmosphere for the next general election as it was the same strategy Akufo Addo devices in the 2012 election petition which made him won the 2016 elections hands down.
Do you think it’s high time Mahama thrown in the towel and let everything go down the drain or he should pursue till something good comes out of it?
