A letter from the Ghana Education Service to the various Education Offices across the country which is in the possession of MyNews indicates that the government has canceled this year’s Independence Anniversary Parade across the country.
The Government of Ghana has also cancelled its related activities across the country.
This is as a result of the spread of the deadly COVID-19 across the country and the ever increasing tally of infected persons.
The statement called for a strict compliance to the directive from the Government of Ghana through the Ghana Education Service.
This year’s parade would have celebrated the country 64 years of gaining her Independence from its colonial masters.
Meanwhile, currently Ghana’s active COVID-19 cases are 7, 850 with the country recording 542 deaths as a result of the deadly COVID-19.
