Parliamentary Candidate the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency John Setor Dumelo has written to the Electoral Commission for a recount of the ballot.
He indicated that he has identified some irregularities during the counting process.
According to the actor cum politician, his votes were swapped with the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) Lydia Seyram Alhassan.

John Dumelo who polled 37,778 of the votes cast trailed behind his competitor Lydia Alhassan who polled 39,851 while an independent candidate got 108 votes.
A total of 77,604 votes were cast on the day.
