National Physical Instructor of Referees Association of Ghana, Retired Referee RTK Attifu, has implored Asante Kotoko head coach, Maxwell Konadu, to rate his tactics before commenting on referee performance.
Konadu blamed the decision of class 1 referee, Daniel Laryea, to award Berekum Chelsea a 95th minute free-kick, which they scored on his side’s draw on Sunday.
Kotoko were held to a 1-1 drawn game at the Golden City Park in the Ghana Premier League via Emmanuel Clottey’s 95th-minute goal through the set-piece.
“You have ninety minutes to play plus additional time and the referee took numerous decisions which you don’t have a problem with, but one decision that went against you is what you want to talk about?” Attifu queried on Atinka FM.
“If that decision was in favor of Kotoko would he say the decision was wrong?
”I mean sometimes we want people to blame, look at your tactics, is your tactics good in any way through the whole ninety minutes? Were you top on your tactics? Were you advancing the way you should?
“Your tactical play, what percentage will you give yourself against your opponent?” he concluded.
Kotoko have picked two consecutive one-all draws against Eleven Wonders and Berekum Chelsea in their first two games of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
The Porcupine Warriors will next play in the Preliminary Stage of the 2020/21 CAF Champions League in an away trip to pay Mauritanian side, FC Nouadhibou on November 27.
