The Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has disclosed the Porcupine Warriors will now maintain a squad size of only 30 players.
The club has been in the news for signing players with the profiles and that barely play any role for the club but are forced out because of poor performances.
Nana Yaw Amponsah speaking at the outdooring of his management team at the Kumasi Sports Hotel said the board has approved for them to renovate their training ground to a modern one and will keep two outstanding stars in their squad to attract spectators to the stadium.
“The Board has approved for us to get an ultra-modern training facility at Adako Jachie within the next three months”, Amponsah said.
“We are going to keep 30 players; 4 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders, 4 strikers, 4 youth players, and 2 outstanding players.”
He expressed his gratitude to the board for affording him the free hands to appoint his own management team and said the club has donated 5000 cedis to the victims of the Offinso accident to support their treatment.
“The club has donated GHC 5,000 to help the victims of the Offinso accident who are receiving treatment at the hospital.”
“I thank the Board of Directors for giving me the free hands to name my Management team.”
