Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, has won four awards at the Swansea City end-of-season awards gala held virtually.
The deputy captain of the Jack Army scooped the Supporters’ Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, Top Goal Scorer award, and the Away Player of the Season prize.
The Ghanaian enjoyed a superb year, netting 18 goals in all competitions and setting up seven more as he helped Steve Cooper’s side reach the Championship play-offs.
The 30-year-old came out on top in the fan vote for their player of the season and was also handed that accolade by his team-mates.
Ayew also took the club’s Top Goal Scorer award with his 18 goals in all competitions; sixteen goals in the Championship and two in the EFL Cup.
Finally, Ayew banged home the Away Player of the Season prize, which has been awarded to the player with the most exciting displays away from the Liberty Stadium.
With his exciting performances for the Swans, he couldn’t help them curb a second leg Championship play-offs semifinals heartbreak.
They were beaten 3-1 by Brentford in the second leg and 3-2 on aggregate that dashed them Premier League return hopes.
Ayew has been linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium, it remains to be seen if these awards can persuade him to stay.
