Former president of Ghana Sir John Dramani Mahama has been tagged on social media as ‘Facebook President’ due to his regular campaign on social media. The president Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo has been active on social media and is doing an incredible job by mingling with his people on social media using the Twitter avenue.
On August 19, 2020 at 10.38a.m. the president of Ghana President Nana Akufo Addo used his twitter page and retweeted a video posted by the NPP Twitter page which used the song Dwe by Mr.Drew as a new campaign song.
The song has been refixed to suit President Akufo Addo and the party NPP. The video was made by a young man using the new party song to praise President Nana Addo, His Vice President Dr. Bawumia and their followers. It is indeed a fun sight to see the president using social media to connect to Ghanaians and to see him appreciate the contribution of the entertainment industry.
He also added in the post, “Please Retweet”, which implied that he is appealing to his followers on social media willingly participate in this campaign to allow him to continue his good developmental work for the country. Apparaently it looks like H.E. John Dramani Mahama is not the only political party flag-bearer making use of social media for his campaign.
When one checks out the Twitter page of the President, one will find an inscription on his photograph used as his display picture saying that he is mindful of the next generation and not the next elections. This is a real role model one can look up to, even future presidents to come.
