The Electoral Commission of Ghana, EC. has asked the general public to disregard reports suggesting that the Electoral Commission’s Chairperson, Jean Mensah has tested positive for the deadly COVID-19.
There were reports in some sections of the media that suggested that the Electoral Commission chairperson, Jean Mensah is currently receiving medical care at the University Of Ghana Medical Center.
But a statement from the Commission said the reports were lies and a figment of the writer’s warped imagination.
According to the Commission, the Chairperson has not tested for COVID-19 neither is she receiving medical attention like it’s been reported.
“The Commission wishes to categorically state that this is an outright lie and q figment of the author’s warped imagination. The Commission wishes to state that the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission is well and at post. She has not tested positive for the Coronavirus.”
The Commission noted that the reports were the handwork of detractors but indicated that their work will not succeed.
