Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has said he intends to give the money Kennedy Agyapong will pay to him to charity.
An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Afia Serwaa Asare Botwe found the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong ‘guilty’ of defaming Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Newspaper Abdul Malik Kweku Baako.
He has been given up to 30 days to retract and apologise three times on the platforms he used to defame the veteran journalist fined GHS100, 000 in damages plus cost of GHS30, 000
Kweku Baako had sued Assin Central MP at the Accra High Court, seeking damages to the sum of GH¢25 million for defamation.
Reacting to the ruling on Joy News, Kweku Baako said he will not spend the money Kennedy will be paying him because he’s ok with the fact that his integrity is intact.
He said he will give the money out for Charity to better the lives of other people in the country.
“You know I had a nickname Kweku Galamsey? There was no attempt to blackmail the president and there was no secret recording of Prez Akufo Addo by Anas. Ken simply lied. The money is not coming to me. Definitely, it’s going to charity. “ He said.
