Sekou Nkrumah, son of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, has wondered what has happened to his elder sister, Samia Nkrumah, with respect to her membership of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), of which she was once a National Chairperson.
In a Facebook post, Sekou Nkrumah wondered whether the CPP sacked her or she left the party of her father on her own, wondering how Ivor Greenstreet, who was the party’s presidential candidate in the 2016 election, could have sacked her.
“Did CPP sack Samia, or she sacked herself? Oh Ivor Greenstreet how can you people do that to Osagyefo’s daughter?” He wrote.
Samia Nkrumah has become less visible and active in the CPP ever since she lost her parliamentary seat and the chairmanship of the CPP.
The CPP was founded by Kwame Nkrumah in 1949 after he broke ranks with the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC). He led the CPP to win several elections until his overthrow in 1966..
