Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for Asante Akyem Central in the New Patriotic Party’s(NPP) impending primaries, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah has accused former General Secretary of the NPP of engaging in crude means to woo delegates for his opponent.
He disclosed on his Facebook Page sighted by MyNewsGh.com thatLawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie affectionately called Sir John who himself is not a contestant, is threatening delegates with job losses if they for him (Kofi Ofosu Nkansah)
Kofi Ofosu Nkansah who is the Managing Director of Accra Digital Center is coming up against Anyimadu-Antwi Prince who is the incumbent Member of Parliament(MP) in the party’s impending Primaries which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 2020.
But in post complaining about the unfair treatment meted to him by the former General Secretary of the NPP who is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah said Sir John is not giving him a level playing field.
According to him, Sir John is putting fear in some of the delegates who are employed by the Forestry Commission because he’s threatening to sack them if they do not vote for the incumbent Member of Parliament.
He said “So Wofa Sir John is in my Constituency campaigning for Anyimadu and threatening delegates that they will lose their Forestry jobs if they vote for me. Wofa wei de3 3y3 lie fo. We are explaining to delegates that’s just to get their votes. No one will lose his or her job for voting for one candidate. 3y3 Akufo-Addo adwuma”.
