Upper East Regional Minister and aspiring parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) for the Navrongo Central Constituency, Tangoba Abayage, has described her electioneering campaign as rough and rugged, adding that she has survived and prevailed through it all.
“We are almost here. It’s been rugged, it’s been rough. But the Lord God has been strong. We’ve prevailed and we’ve survived. Now we pray and request: in this final week, tell a delegate to tell a delegate to tell a delegate that on Saturday, 20th June when they go to the polls they have the opportunity to:
ChooseTangoba!
Choose the Woman!
Choose Number 1!
Make a great change!
Make a difference!
Make History!” She wrote on social media.
She is in competition with Aviation Minister Joseph Kofi Adda, who is the incumbent Member of Parliament of the Navrongo Central Constituency.
Their contest is deemed the fiercest in the region given that they are both high ranking government officials in the Akufo-Addo administration.
Controversy rocked their contest when Joseph Kofi Adda stated that his opponent was unknown in the constituency since she only went there to have some bottles of beer and relax.
Another contest in the Upper East Region is between Deputy Upper East Regional Minister and MP for Zebilla, Frank Fuseini Adongo and John Krugu, a former NPP National Youth Organiser.
Meanwhile, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, who is the sitting MP for Tempane, will run opposed.
