Nana Kwame Ankumah known in showbiz as Niashun has released an afrobeat song titled ‘Asem.’
The song talks about the need to listen to good counsel from people and pray to God for direction in pursuit of one’s dreams.
Niashun’s style is generally a mixture of African dance music, afrobeats and reggae dancehall, but not limited to these, as he occasionally tries other genres.
His musical inspirations include Fela Kuti, Amakye Dede, Pat Thomas, 2face and Burna Boy.
Otherwise known as the AfroVibes patron, Niashun spent his entire life and obtained education in Accra.
He started making music in Senior High School at the Presbyterian Boys’ High School (Presec Legon).
Initially part of a group, he later broke out to pursue his dreams on his own.
