Kumasi-based actor Blinkz stabbed to death in fight

Nurudeen Abass, a Kumasi-based actor died yesterday through stabbing.

The actor popularly known as Blinkz was reportedly stabbed to death around 10:30 am on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Akurem, a suburb between Aboabo and Sawaaba in Kumasi.

According to nydjlive.com, Blinkz who worked with the Acheamfour Terminal for a transport company met his death when he visited his master’s house.

The Manhyia Divisional Commander, ACP Kwaku Buah confirmed the incident to the press, yesterday.

“This morning around 10:30am, a young man who is popularly known and called in Kumasi by the name Blinkz, an actor with Kumawood and a worker at Acheamfour Terminal visited his master’s house at Akurem where he met the master’s wife and brother exchange words,” he said.

He said Blinkz who was not happy with the scene tried to intervene but a brother of his master’s wife did not like the intervention so objected, which turned into a fight.

Reports say the brother to the master’s wife and another guy who was present at the scene then attacked Blinkz with knives and in the action stabbed him at various parts of his body.

After being stabbed in the ribs and sliced in the back, he fell and collapsed. Unfortunately, he died few minutes after he was taken to Manhyia Hospital.

The body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for preservation and autopsy.
