Aspiring Deputy National Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Justice Yeboah has said if His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo can today call himself President of Ghana, then no one can question the ambition of the former Kumasi Mayor, Kojo Bonsu, MyNewsGH.com has filed.
According to the NDC communicator, looking at Akufo-Addo’s zero record as an MP in Abuakwa who had nothing to show, compared to Kojo Bonsu’s stellar performance as Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly boss, then it will not be out of place for Kojo Bonsu to be more qualified than Akufo-Addo who is now president.
“If even Akufo-Addo has become President, it is not above Kojo Bonsu” he said.
Asked by Nana Yaa Boamponsem Ameyaw the host of Homebase TV.
“Why did Akufo-Addo become President but Kojo Bonsu cannot be President?” He asked again.
Former Mayor of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu, has declared his intention to contest the flagbearership race of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The former Kumasi Mayor joins other party stalwarts such as former President John Dramani Mahama, and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alabi.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings gave a hint about Mr. Bonsu’s intent by posting a message on Twitter after receiving him at his residence in Accra.
