Game of Thrones’ Finn Jones, who formerly played Loras Tyrell on the show, was discussing how the show will end and predicted a very dark outcome for the whole series which will shock many fans.
It’s dark, blood-thirsty, full of despicable characters and horrid deaths.
Yet, that doesn’t stop people from loving the show and wanting to see it all end nicely for their favourite characters.
However, former Game of Thrones star, Finn Jones – who’s now the lead in Netflix’s Marvel series, Iron Fist – doesn’t think it’ll end the way fans are hoping it will.
Finn was recently talking to People.com about the upcoming season of Iron Fist, yet the conversation quickly moved on the subject of the show he used to star in as Loras, until his death in season six.
The British actor was asked for his theory on how it’ll all end, and Finn had one dark and gloomy theory at the ready, but he started off by giving his idea ending, which was much more upbeat.
“I basically don’t think there’ll be a throne anymore and I don’t think they’ll be a centralised seat of power,” he revealed.
He continued: “I think power will be given back to the individual kingdoms and more of a democratic rule.”
Yet, that was when he dropped his real bombshell theory on how George R.R. Martin’s series will eventually end, which may cause viewers to shed a tear or two.
“But I think that is probably a bit too utopian for Game of Thrones,” he explained.
I think eventually what will happen is everyone will die,” he finished.
This ending would certainly be in keeping which what Game of Thrones viewers have come to expect from the show.
The minute it looks like something good’s about to happen, the writers think of the most tragic possible outcome and tend to go with that.
The will undoubtedly be an outcry if say Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) were to die for a second time because it would make his whole revival scene utterly pointless in the grand scheme of things.
Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) death would also cause outrage because she’s an incredibly popular and compelling character who many believe will be the one who ends up sitting on the Iron Throne.
Finn’s first theory is much more desirable, yet the actor also has a point when he said that would be too utopian for a series like Game of Thrones which has a tendency of leaning towards the dark side of things.
As for Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady), there won’t be too many tears shed if she were to die since she’s done some awful things in the show and has been the cause of so many deaths over the seven seasons.
However, fans would probably get very upset should one of her two brothers: Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) or Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) should be killed off since they have a big following and have actually proven themselves to be more noble, kind-hearted and understanding than the rest of their family.
Fans will have to wait until season eight comes to HBO in 2019 to get some answers to their many questions.
