Contrary to the perception that the traditional media played no role to the rise of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, he has said otherwise.
Speaking to Jessica Opare Saforo on Citi FM’s Traffic Avenue on Monday, the ‘Amount’ singer said even though he usually goes mad at bloggers, he has very good friends among them.
“I have bloggers who are friends, and they understand my style. But some of them do certain things to hurt you deliberately,” he said.
That notwithstanding he says the media has been very helpful to his career.
“But the media has been very helpful to me, and my career and a big thank you to the Ghana media,” he added.
Shatta Wale has always had a problem with the media for writing ill about him.
In times past, he has attributed his success solely to his fans and has even said he could survive with social media alone.
After releasing the smash hit ‘Gringo’ song whose video got rave reviews from music enthusiasts and critics, he is out with another song called ‘Amount.’
In the coming days, he will be releasing his ‘Reign’ album.
